I am pleased to be able to offer an engraving service on items purchased from Memorial Jewellery Blanks. Please purchase the items you wish to have engraved separately, this listing is for the engraving service only and does not include the blanks.

Text Engraving

Select the item you wish to have engraved, then under 'type of engraving' select 'plain text' and choose a font.

If the font you want isn't listed, you are welcome to request an alternative font, please let me know the name of the font you want to use and I will try to source it for you.  If the font is not available 'free for commercial use', there may be a charge to obtain it for you.

Add the text exactly as you want it to be engraved into the text box.

I will cut and paste from the text box exactly as it is written.   Please double check for mistakes as I will not be responsible for correcting these.

I will automatically centre text unless instructed not to, please don't try to make it look centred in the text box by adding extra spaces, this will distort the engraving on the jewellery.  I will also calculate the required font size to fit all of the text onto the item you wish to have engraved and I will position it for the best fit.  This may mean that some items (for example rectangular pieces) are engraved in landscape rather than portrait.  If you want the text oriented a specific way, please let me know in the comments box.

I do not set specific character limits, I just ask customers to be realistic about the size of the text. If you ask for a lot of engraving on a small item, it will be made smaller to fit so just use your own judgement and common sense when accepting customer requests and it should be fine. If I think what you have asked for is totally unachievable, I will let you know.

Please note that the engraving machine does not recognise emojis or symbols. All engraving will be done as per the QWERTY keyboard characters.
I have created my own files for a heart of a pawprint which can be added, but these are currently the only two options for emoji size symbols. If you require a different symbol please get in touch, there will be a charge to create it for you.

Fingerprints

My engraving service includes full editing of the images to ensure that they engrave well and any smudges etc are taken out prior to engraving.  Fingerprints must be good clear prints as shown in the photo example to achieve the best results, if they are low quality prints that do not have clear white spaces between the lines, I may be able to enhance them, however there will be an extra charge for this and customer expectations will need to be managed, please feel free to send me your images prior to purchasing engraving if you would like me to assess them.

Fingerprints may be cropped to fit the blank, depending on the amount of detail in the print, it may be necessary to enlarge the print in order to be able to collect the detail.

Hand, foot and paw and nose prints

The engraving service includes all editing of the prints to remove smudges etc, if you require specific editing such as removal of extra fingers or toes please let me know.

Prints for engraving should be emailed to me by replying to your order confirmation email, this ensures that the correct print is matched with the correct order details.

Most hand and foot prints can be engraved and can be a nice alternative if it is not possible to obtain a clear fingerprint, as is sometime the case with new babies and elderly people.

The service includes up to two prints from the same person (e.g. left and right hand/foot), and one name.   Multiple prints from different people/animals should be put through as separate engraving requests.

Prints will be sized to fit the blank you have chosen.

Handwriting and doodles

Please end me a clear photo of the doodles or handwriting you wish to have engraved.  Where possible please avoid lined or textured paper.

Engraving should be emailed to me by replying to your order confirmation email, this ensures that the correct print is matched with the correct order details.

Doddles must be simple line drawings, complex sketches do not engrave well.

For handwriting, it may be necessary to split the writing on to multiple lines.  Please use the comments box if you have specific request for the layout of the writing.
